Southeast of Saline has immediate openings for Food Service Secretary, Paraprofessional, and substitute teachers. Position open until filled and able to start when available.
Food Service secretary is responsible for managing lunch accounts and completing state and federal reports related to food service. Position will likely be 40 hours per week through training then could drop down to 30 hours per week. Primarily 11 months per year. Could be combined with other duties to maintain full time status. Benefits eligible.
Paraprofessional works directly with students who need additional supports. School days and school hours only. Perfect for someone who wants to be at home when their own children are off from school.
Substitute teachers work as needed. State licensing required. Special need for those willing to work afternoons as we enter the spring sports season. Call for information.

Learning about the water cycle is a lot of fun when Mr. Peterson’s junior high students make interesting lessons! Mrs. McBride’s kindergarten class was very excited to make clouds and learn about the weather diorama.
Clara earned Camo time at the elementary assembly! She got to walk him today.
Mr. Peterson’s 8th grade Science class taught Mrs. Lilley’s kindergarteners about habitats. What a fun way to learn about animals!

Boys Sub-State Basketball today
The JH scholars traveled to Beloit Thurs night for an 8 team round robin. The 7th grade team went 6-1, and took home first place. St. John’s Beloit went 6-1 as well, but took second as SES beat St. John’s in a close 10 pt win. 8th graders also competed but they did not place.
Great concert at the KMEA ISW. Charlotte Knopf and the 1234 All State Band sounded amazing! Great job Charlotte
Weekly Schedule for SES
2 Trojans will be representing the SES Music Department today in Wichita. Micah Willis will be singing in the KMEA All-State Treble Choir at 11:30 and Charlotte Knopf will be part of the KMEA State Honor Band concert at 5:00.
Sub-State brackets are out. The Trojans are the 4 seed and will host Council Grove on Monday. Game time is 7:00.
Lady Trojans are the #5 seed and will travel to Osage City on Tuesday. Game time is 6:00.

Southeast of Saline will once again be hosting a summer Public Speaking class. This is for college credit through Salina Area Technical College. No high school credit will be given. This is open to 10th graders on up. Enrollment will be handled at SATC, but students should email Mrs. Haden if they are interested and would like to be put on a list.
