Southeast of Saline

Parent Education Program

P.A.T.

Southeast of Saline Parent Education program is available for any family that lives in our district and has an infant, toddler, or preschooler.  We provide monthly home visits with fun activities for families to do together that promotes healthy development during the first 5 years of life.  The curriculum is researched based and activities are mostly home-made toys that you can make for your child, too.

The majority of the program is done in your home when your schedule permits, but there are also group events that families are invited to.  We have weekly storytimes at the Gypsum Community Library and Tumbling Tuesday the 2nd Tuesday of each month during the regular school year.  We also have occasional storytimes at Rolling Hills Zoo and information about community events that pertain to young families.

As part of the home visits, we provide a health, hearing, vision, and developmental screening to make sure that your child is developing on track.  If there are concerns, we connect you with additional resources.

Please call us to enroll in this fun, free, parenting program.  We have openings and would love to get to know you and your family.

Mrs. LaNell Keeler

I have been the Coordinator/Parent Educator with Southeast of Saline Parent Education Program- Parents as Teachers since 1996.  I love my job and enjoy meeting all the new families with young children before they are old enough to go to school.

I am married and my husband, Brad, and I are both Southeast of Saline Alumni.  We have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.  We live on a farm with lots of cattle and some cats & kittens. I love to work with flowerbeds and read. I have lead a preschool storytime at the Gypsum Community Library on Friday mornings for several years.  When we are done with the farm chores, my husband and I enjoy time with our family and traveling.

Hi, I’m Lindsey Frank and I am a Parent Educator at Southeast of Saline. I am excited to meet new families and provide support with home visits and exciting activities in our community!

Education is a passion of mine. I taught 5th grade for five years before having children, and I have substitute taught for SES for the past 9 years. I am thrilled to be able to use my experiences in both teaching and parenting to help parents guide their children in reaching their full potential.

My husband, Cody, and I have three daughters who attend Southeast. When we’re not attending sporting events, our family enjoys camping, boating, amusement parks and swimming.
