2024-2025 Non Resident Application Process:
According to state statute, the window for Non Resident (out-of-district) applications for the 2025-26 school year will be from January 1 to June 15, 2024. The application process is strictly regulated now by the State of Kansas legislature so a new policy has been adopted by our board to be in compliance with the new law. The full policy is linked HERE. Out of district transfers are not accepted from area schools mid-year. Students moving into district are automatically enrolled once proof of resident is provided.
Each year the board is to evaluate how many open seats they feel are in each grade level. Those numbers are posted on this page. We will take applications from families to fill these open seats. If we have more applications than seats then the seats will be awarded by random draw. The number of open seats are predicated on an anticipated number of in-district students in each grade. If that number changes through the enrollment process then the number of open seats may also change. Students who complete the paperwork but are not initially chosen for out of district enrollment will be placed on a waiting list to fill unexpected openings due to lower than anticipated in-district enrollment.
This is strictly for new non resident (out-of-district) students. Current USD 306 students who reside out of district are not subject to this process. Current and new out of district students will be allowed to continue attending as long as they meet the "Student in Good Standing" criteria set in policy.
