Tucker Thaxton has been selected as our Athlete of the Month at Southeast of Saline for January. Tucker is a senior at SES and the son of Casey Thaxton. When asked about his favorite things about SES, he said it was the community. Tucker's greatest achievement so far was winning the state championship this year in football. Tucker was also selected to represent SES at the annual Shrine Bowl this summer. Outside of football, he is also a member of our track team. His nominator stated "His enthusiasm and love for the game of football was contagious. You could tell he wanted the win and he kept the drive alive. When the team was starting to get down and feel defeated, he would make the play happen and give them hope again." In the future, Tucker plans to attend technical college. He currently is completing an internship with Scoular Grain Company. When asked about his advice to others to get involved, Tucker said "find what interests you, get out of your comfort zone and go for it."
