USD 306 Southeast of Saline

Mitch Gebhardt has been selected as the Staff Member of the Month at Southeast of Saline. Mr. Gebhardt has spent 31 years in education with the last 17 at SES where he serves as an instructor in Physical Education. His favorite thing about SES are the students. He says he feels very fortunate to be able to teach the students everyday. Mr. Gebhardt's greatest achievement so far is teaching for 31 years. He did not think he would be in education for this long. He received both his bachelors and masters degrees from Fort Hays State University where he says "Go Tigers!" He is married to his wife Angie and have four boys: Jaxson, Luke, Jacob and Grady. His nominator said about Mr. Gebhardt "Not only did he lead the team to a State title in football but the influence he has on the students of our school is a big reason why SES is able to accomplish so many great things." Mr. Gebhardt's message to students would be "Working hard always pays off. It might not be the way you planned , but it pays off." Congratulations Mr. Gebhardt!
