USD 306 Southeast of Saline

Cheryl Spare has been selected as our staff member of the month for May at Southeast of Saline. Mrs. Spare is the accompanist in our music classes and has been at SES for the past 29 years. This is her last year at SES as she is retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. Her favorite thing about SES is that the staff see each other as family and strive to support and encourage each other. She said they the staff is committed to strive for excellence, good character and a faithful work ethic. "We love teaching our students the same goals." Her greatest achievement is caring deeply about kids of all ages and working hard to develop them into great community members and good citizens. Mrs. Spare recieved her bachelor's degree from Kansas State University with a dual degree in Social Work and Family and Child Development. She is married to Bruce and have two kids. Lukas Spare and his daughter Kyslie and Eva who is married to Josh Slate. Eva has a son named Keegan. If she had one message to students, she would say "I am aware that each student I have time with is unique and created in the image of God. I love each one and enjoy discovering their talents and interests." Congratulations Mrs. Spare!
