USD 306 Southeast of Saline

Mrs. Schmidt is our staff member of the month for April. She has been in education for 16 years with last 14 years at Southeast of Saline. She serves as our Special Education teacher for grades 6-8. Her favorite thing about SES is being a part of a supportive community and working with really great people. Mrs. Schmidt says her greatest achievement is her family. She loves watching her boys grow up and is so proud of everything that her husband and boys do in life. She received her bachelors degree from Bethany College and her masters degree from Fort Hays State University. She is married to Ben, who is a lead teacher at Schilling Elementary School in Salina. She has two sons, Brody who is in 7th grade and Reid who is in 4th grade. Both boys attend SES. Her message to students is to "find something you love to do and work hard to be great at it." Congratulations Mrs. Schmidt.
