We are so ecstatic to announce that TWO of our students were selected as @RuddFoundation scholars for 2024. Both were awarded scholarships to cover all tuition, room and board, books, supplies and any other costs for their undergraduate degrees. Alex Christensen will be enrolling at Fort Hays State University in the fall and Isabelle Christensen will be attending Wichita State University.
The scholarships, available to seniors in Kansas, are awarded based on financial need, hard work, grit, determination and character. The program not only provides scholarships, but networking and professional development opportunities for students while in college and beyond.
Alex was awarded an $80,000 for all expenses to Fort Hays State University. While at Southeast, Alex has been involved in Mads, FBLA, Spanish Club, Scholar's Bowl, Forensics and Drama. He will use this scholarship to earn a bachelors degree in Accounting.
Isabelle was awarded an scholarship for all expenses to Wichita State University valued at $100,000. She has been involved as the Dance Team Captain at SES as well as in Theatre, Vocal, Madrigals, FCCLA, BAM, NHS and Student Council. She will use this scholarship to major in Biomedical Engineering.
