Mrs Christiancy's class had a couple special guests today! Mr. C and Happy Bear came and talked to us about good and bad touches! Then after lunch we had another author visit with the author who wrote "Viva Frida"!!
We gave away a few copies of the new releases from the Book Fair! Students participated in a coloring contest... those who came closest to the real cover won. Congratulations to Dariel Espino, Grace Hulett, and Ella Isaacson for winning free copies of your favorites!

The William Allen White Kansas Book Award ceremony was this weekend in Emporia! A few students and their families got to meet the winners of the book award - Alan Gratz and McCall Hoyle - and take a tour of the White's home. What a unique, interesting and fun experience!

Some of the cutest pumpkins in the pumpkin patch today were actually kindergarten students, choosing pumpkins to take back to school! The kindergarten students had a fun filled field trip at Sunnyside Pumpkin Patch and Assaria park. Thank you Charisse & Grant Nurenburg, and all of the parents for your help!
